WomanKraft Art Center is hosting a huge indoor RUMMAGE SALE!!

WHERE: 388 S. Stone Ave. Tucson, AZ 85701
WHEN: Friday, January 19th and Saturday January 20th, both days 8:00 AM -4:00 PM *No early birds!!*

WomanKraft, a 501 (c)3 non-profit arts organization hosts it’s bi-annual largest fundraiser.

WHAT: SUPPORT a local 501(c)3 non-profit organization at WomanKraft’s LARGEST bi-annual fundraiser, THE INDOOR RUMMAGE SALE!! We promise you’ll find something you just can’t live without! From toys, decorations, collection of art books, novels, and kitchen utensils, a huge variety of art supplies, technology and clothing.. there is something for everyone. The sale will be held inside the warm gallery for your shopping comfort!! Come more than once! And tell your friends!

During the reception for the current exhibit, ‘SIZE Matters’ on October 7th from 7-10 PM, a very special guest, James Aspromatis, will be indulging our ears and adding dimension to the atmosphere with music from a classic victrola!

WomanKraft Art Center currently has a CALL TO ARTISTS for the upcoming exhibit, ‘The Holiday Bazaar’,
Show runs November 4 – December 20th, 2017.

*We are seeking a variety of fine crafts and art that reflect the diversity of these holidays. All work on display must retail from $1- $100. All mediums accepted. In the spirit of gift giving and sharing, we want an opportunity for locals and visitors alike to purchase original, unique work by local individuals for their seasonal gift giving desires and indulgences, at an affordable rate. Therefore, all work on display must retail between $1 and $100. All subject matter and mediums will be accepted.

This show is going to focus on, you guessed it, size! Subject and medium are up to the artist, including large / BIG works! As well as teeny tiny pieces! Close-ups, perspective, miniatures, life-size, we’re taking a closer look at the bigger picture. What do we mean by size? You’ll have to come see to believe…

at ‘the Castle’ located at 388 S. Stone Avenue in celebration of the current exhibit, ‘Flights of Fantasy’

WHAT: FANTASY takes place of reality; Dragons, faeries, unicorns, elves, sprites, spirits, gods and goddesses, stuff of myth and legend.. Through art we can create this fantasy. All mediums.
WHEN: Second Reception: Saturday, March 4th 7-10 PM.

 CALL TO ARTISTS: This is the 25th annual women’s only exhibit by and for local women artists. Come and join us in the celebration of our divine feminine power. All mediums and subject matter accepted.

The Rummage Sale is coming!

Mark you calendars, set your alarm clocks, tape it to your fridge, write it on your hand or whatever it takes but SAVE THE DATE!

WomanKraft Indoor Rummage Sale is
Friday, January 20 and Saturday, January 21, 2017
both days from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM!
Join us for great bargains for a great cause- all proceeds go towards our non-profit art center. The sale will be held inside and heated, spreading throughout our entire gallery space.

WHERE: 388 south Stone Avenue – just 4 blocks south of ‘city center’, Broadway Blvd and Stone Avenue, on the West side of the street, directly across the street from Casa Vicente Spanish Restaurant, and the Downtown Motor Hotel “Apartments”
WHEN: Friday, January 20 & Saturday, January 21, 8 A.M.–4 P.M.
NO EARLY BIRDS.
WHAT: All kinds of great things! Recipe books, art books, trashy novels, fancy hats, a scuba suit, lamps!…Art supplies, kitchen stuff, knick-knacks, clothes, tools, toys, movies, garden stuff, plants, household items, all you can think of and more! All items for sale are in good, clean and working condition.

WANT TO HELP?
This sale – our biggest bi-annual fundraiser, takes a huge amount of effort and time! WomanKraft volunteers could sure use some help setting up this event, Thursday, January 19th from 10 AM until it’s done.
Then, after setting up and selling for 4 days, we really could use some fresh help boxing and loading everything; we start at 4:01 Saturday afternoon.

WHAT IS THE RUMMAGE FAIR?
WomanKraft holds a Rummage Fair twice a year, in January and August. This fantastic indoor, two-day event is not to be missed! If you need anything, we might have it. And if you have things you’d like to pass on, if it’s clean and it works, we’ll take it! Clothes, shoes, kitchenware, knick-knacks, books, movies, vintage items, holiday decorations, toys, tools and more. The proceeds from this fundraiser goes towards paying our property taxes, utility bills and insurance. Call (520)629-9976 ext. 1 for more info.
As a volunteer run non-profit organization, WomanKraft relies on the generosity of our community, so come support your favorite local arts organization, get a great bargain, and get rid of that box of stuff you’ve been meaning to donate.

IS IT TOO LATE TO DONATE? No! Don’t worry, WomanKraft accepts donations for this event ALL year round, so if you haven’t gotten around to boxing up your unwanted items, no rush! We’ll need it for the next one, too!

SPINES N’ THINGS
June 6th – July 25th, 2015
Receptions: Saturday, June 6 and Saturday, July 11 7:00-10:00 P.M.
Regular Gallery Hours: Wednesday Through Saturday 1:00-5:00 P.M.
WomanKraft Art Center, 388 s. Stone Avenue, invites you to the exhibit, SPINES N’ THINGS!
This show will focus on the ‘point’ of the desert. Yes, cactus spines. This is a chance to showcase the prickly beauty that goes hand-in-hand with this amazing place. All mediums accepted. Everyone is encouraged to see this exhibit, it’s free!
The next evening reception will be held, July 11th
from 7:00-10:00 PM.
Please Note: This is the only exception to our Receptions always being the First Saturday of the Month. However, the first Saturday of July is the Fourth of July so enjoy some fireworks and come see us the following Saturday, July 11!!

Regular gallery hours are Wednesday through Saturday, 1:00-5:00 P.M.
