WomanKraft Art Center is hosting a huge, 2 day, INDOOR RUMMAGE SALE!! Join us for great bargains for a great cause- all proceeds go towards our non-profit art center. The sale will be held inside and air-conditioned, spreading throughout our entire gallery space. This fundraiser is WomanKraft’s largest event, and is exponentially exciting and important to the continued success of our nearly 100-year-old building and 42-year-old grassroots, 100% volunteer run organization!
WHERE: 388 south Stone Avenue – just 4 blocks south of ‘city center’, Broadway Blvd and Stone Avenue, on the West side of the street, directly across the street from Casa Vicente Spanish Restaurant
WHEN: Friday, August 12 & Saturday, August 13, 8 A.M.–4 P.M. NO EARLY BIRDS.
WHAT: Art supplies, kitchen utensils, small appliances, dishes, knick-knacks, art books, regular books, fancy clothes, normal clothes for men women and children, tools, hardware, toys, movies, garden stuff, plants, household items, all you can think of and more!

An excellent opportunity for you to volunteer some time at the WomanKraft Art Center!
We are looking for helpers for set up, Thursday, August 11, 10am until done, and then could really use some fresh help to re-pack and disassemble Saturday, August 13, 4 to 6pm. Please call 629-9976 ext. 1 to schedule your participation!

All items for sale are in good, clean and working condition.

24th Annual Women’s only exhibit, Drawing Down the Muse. April 2 – May 28th, 2016.

This show includes all mediums, unrestricted in subject matter, and promotes the talented women of our community. Join us in celebrating this important and beautiful tradition, and our divine feminine power.

Two evening receptions will be held on the first Saturday of each month, April 2 and May 7th from 7:00-10:00 PM. Regular gallery hours are Wednesday through Saturday, 1:00-5:00 P.M.

We encourage everyone to see the exhibit. Free and open to the public.

‘Art From the Heart’ at WomanKraft

ART FROM THE HEART
The current exhibit, Art From the Heart runs February 6 – March 26, 2016,
will be hosting a Second Evening Receptions this Saturday, March 5, form 7-10 pm
Love is in the air, spring is blossoming and hearts are brimming. Hearts and flowers, flames of passion, romance and
eroticism, beloved places, gifts of love… All is fair in Love and Art. All mediums.

WomanKraft’s newest exhibit, ‘Art From the Heart’ will be having a special evening reception just for you this Saturday the 5th, from 7 – 10 PM!

Here’s a few shots from the show, after a huge turnout at our First Reception. Reception nights are SO much fun because you can meet and mingle with the local artists featured, and get out in the beautiful weather we’re having. On the reception, one visitor said “You could feel the love, and it wasn’t just the art!.” Stop by the gallery weekly anytime Wednesday – Saturday between 1 and 5 PM to see the entire show, and believe us, it’s not to be missed!

Join us for an Opening Reception Saturday, February 6th from 7:00 -10:00 P.M. at WomanKraft – 388 S. Stone Avenue. That’s 4 blocks south of Broadway, the west side of the street with huge heirloom Tamarisk tree’s lining our property. WomanKraft looks like this (view from Stone Avenue)!!

Receptions: Saturday, June 6 and Saturday, July 11 7:00-10:00 P.M.
Regular Gallery Hours: Wednesday Through Saturday 1:00-5:00 P.M.
WomanKraft Art Center, 388 s. Stone Avenue, invites you to the exhibit, SPINES N’ THINGS!
This show will focus on the ‘point’ of the desert. Yes, cactus spines. This is a chance to showcase the prickly beauty that goes hand-in-hand with this amazing place. All mediums accepted. Everyone is encouraged to see this exhibit, it’s free!
The next evening reception will be held, July 11th
from 7:00-10:00 PM.

Please Note:
This is the only exception to our Receptions always being the First Saturday of the Month. However, the first Saturday of July is the Fourth of July so enjoy some fireworks and come see us the following Saturday, July 11!!

Regular gallery hours are Wednesday through Saturday, 1:00-5:00 P.M.

Happy May everyone! Can you believe it’s May this weekend? We are so lucky here in Tucson with such gorgeous sunshine and spring weather!
And what does a new month mean? First Saturday Night, Art Walk Night at downtown Tucson art galleries!

Join WomanKraft in celebrating this special occasion this Saturday, May 2nd from 7:00 – 10:0 P.M. for an evening of divine art celebrating our feminine power, with the current exhibit, Drawing Down the Muse.

Drawing Down the Muse runs through May 30th at the WomanKraft Art Center located at 388 S. Stone Avenue, just 4 blocks south of Broadway. The gallery is open weekly Wednesday – Saturday, 1:00 -5:00 P.M. with 2 evening Receptions the first Saturday of the Month. (April 4 and May 2) 7 – 10 PM.

We are proud to announce that this is our 23rd annual Women’s only exhibit. This particular show is a spectacular combination of over 30 local artists showcasing a variety of media. Sometimes, when you want something done right, you’ve just got to Do It Yourself. Join us at the Flycatcher on Wednesday, April 8, as the crafty women of FST! tell their stories of making, building, doing, hacking, crafting, and home-improving. FST!ers are doing it for themselves!
Doors open at 6:30PM, show starts at 7. Suggested donation is $7; cash only, please! ASL interpreters will be provided. Venue is 21+.
As always, FST! will donate a portion of proceeds to a local nonprofit. This month, our beneficiary is WomanKraft Art Center, a Non-Profit Arts Organization founded in 1974 to claim, validate, and empower women artists and other under represented groups
