This weekend is our evening reception for the current exhibit, “Drawing Down the Muse”. All artwork on display is by local female artists.
The work ranges greatly in color, media, theme and subject matter.

The Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona is happy to announce that they are accepting submissions for entry into the upcoming exhibit called Need2Nourish. This exhibit looks at both the need to nourish our bodies and the need to nourish ourselves through artistic expression. Need2Nourish will promote dialogue on what is nourishment and/or what is hunger in our community, showcase local artists in our area, and provide support towards CFB’s mission.
The Community Food Bank’s mission is to change lives in the communities we serve by feeding the hungry today, and building a healthy, hunger-free tomorrow. CFB serves over 200,000 individuals in five counties of southern Arizona. Hunger and poverty are very complex problems that CFB aims to address through its hunger relief programs.

Archivist and librarian Kate Fitzpatrick and colleague Rachel Black will be visiting WomanKraft on Saturday, June 9th from 1-3 pm to share a presentation and and discuss the importance of archives and what AHS does.
Suggested donation: $5 general public, $3 non-members
The WomanKraft Art Center is partnering with the Arizona Historical Society for a special event open to the public about archives. Artists, listen up!! Archives can seem impenetrable to those not familiar with them already, and AHS wants to do as much as they can to educate folks on how archives function and the importance of documenting their work for posterity.
