Art is my path, it's the language of my spirit with which I communicate. It's for me the greatest tool for healing, transformation and the creation of reality.“

Many of Donette’s murals are appreciated by Tucson's residents as well as the greater US. Murals can find their home in many places ranging from private residences to public buildings.

Donette also specializes in large paintings and portraits. Services range from individual and family portraits, to nature scenes and flowers, to just about what ever else you can envision as a painting.

Art is the navigator of my day.  Everything I experience comes through my artist’s eye.  Never do I look at a sunset without noticing the delicate rhythms of  color shifting over the landscape.  Noticing the subtleties of how the color communicates with a gentle mountain stream, versus a delicate desert flower. Reds, yellows, pinks oranges, grays and purples…..never the same symphony.  Always so delicious to my soul.

I became an artist the day I was born.  I believe most of us do, though few follow the calling of the muse.  I would constantly be creating something.  Whether in the kitchen or on a piece of paper.  My family tolerated some of my more bizarre experiments.  Usually involving some intolerable food combination.

I began to get more serious with pursuing art as a career in my mid twenties, after realizing I was not cut out for the nine to five, bell curve work world.  My desire was found in expressing nature on very large canvasses.  I became a muralist for the simple reason of leaving the creation behind me for someone else’s pleasure.  I never feel the desire to own art.  Only to create it.  So murals became the perfect media for me.
