‘Art From the Heart’ at WomanKraft

The current exhibit, Art From the Heart runs February 6 – March 26, 2016,
will be hosting a Second Evening Receptions this Saturday, March 5, form 7-10 pm
Love is in the air, spring is blossoming and hearts are brimming. Hearts and flowers, flames of passion, romance and
eroticism, beloved places, gifts of love… All is fair in Love and Art. All mediums.

WomanKraft’s newest exhibit, ‘Art From the Heart’ will be having a special evening reception just for you this Saturday the 5th, from 7 – 10 PM!

Here’s a few shots from the show, after a huge turnout at our First Reception. Reception nights are SO much fun because you can meet and mingle with the local artists featured, and get out in the beautiful weather we’re having. On the reception, one visitor said “You could feel the love, and it wasn’t just the art!.” Stop by the gallery weekly anytime Wednesday – Saturday between 1 and 5 PM to see the entire show, and believe us, it’s not to be missed!

Join us for an Opening Reception Saturday, February 6th from 7:00 -10:00 P.M. at WomanKraft – 388 S. Stone Avenue. That’s 4 blocks south of Broadway, the west side of the street with huge heirloom Tamarisk tree’s lining our property. WomanKraft looks like this (view from Stone Avenue)!!

During our 2nd Evening Reception on Saturday, December 5th WomanKraft will be hosting a book signing by local award winning author Lonni Lees! Ms Lees is a long time WomanKraft member, and her published books include: The Mosaic Murder, The Corpse in the Cactus, Deranged, a novel of horror, Crawlspace and Other Dark Stories. Meet, mingle, pick up a copy of her book and have it signed. Who knows, you might just find the perfect gift for everyone on your list!

This Exhibit, THE HOLIDAY BAZAAR runs November 7th through December 19th

open weekly Wednesday – Saturday 1 – 5 PM

with Evening Receptions the first Saturday of the Month, November 7th and December 5th, 7-10 PM.

In the spirit of the Holidays and seasonal festivities, this exhibit is specifically curated to combine a unique mix of fine art and crafts all created by local artists. Everything in this exhibit will retail for $100 or less. This is specific to the idea that gift giving for your holidays should be personal, unique and affordable.

Santa Claus is coming to…WomanKraft!!Friday, December 11th, 3-5 PM
Bring along your camera, your children, or the child within because Santa will be here to listen to your Holiday wishes and spread his Holiday cheer. Treats and drinks provided. Free.

WomanKraft Art Center, 388 s. Stone Avenue, invites you to the exhibit, SPINES N’ THINGS!
This show will focus on the ‘point’ of the desert. Yes, cactus spines. This is a chance to showcase the prickly beauty that goes hand-in-hand with this amazing place. All mediums accepted. Everyone is encouraged to see this exhibit, it’s free!
The next evening reception will be held, July 11th
from 7:00-10:00 PM.

Please Note:
This is the only exception to our Receptions always being the First Saturday of the Month. However, the first Saturday of July is the Fourth of July so enjoy some fireworks and come see us the following Saturday, July 11!!

Regular gallery hours are Wednesday through Saturday, 1:00-5:00 P.M.

bi-annual RUMMAGE FAIR!!


Where: 388 south Stone Avenue – just 4 blocks south of Broadway

When: Friday and Saturday, August 14 and 15, 8 A.M.–4 P.M.

Art supplies, kitchen stuff, knick-knacks, books, clothes, tools, toys, movies, all you can think of and more! We are also seeking volunteers for set up Wednesday, August 12 from 1-5 PM and Thursday, August 13, 10 AM until it’s done.

The fair will run Friday and Saturday, August 14 and 15 from 8 A.M. to 4 P.M.

NO EARLY BIRDS. After setting up and selling for 4 days, we really could use some fresh help boxing and loading everything, we start at 4:01 Saturday afternoon. Call or talk with us in person to schedule your participation. (520) 629-9976. Thanks!
